This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 was sold new in Michigan on May 14, 1970. The seller acquired the car from the original owner in July 2020. This is one of only 96 442 W-30 convertible 4-speed cars made in 1970. This W-30 is an unrestored car with one repaint in its original paint code 58, Burnished Gold finish in 1973-74 and has 55,504 miles. This car retains its original born with matching-numbers drivetrain, verified and documented in the Rocket Report. This W-30 also retains its original gold convertible top. The interior is original to the car and untouched. Other amenities include power windows, power top, Rally Pack gauges and a sport console. The matching-numbers 455ci big-block Oldsmobile engine features W-30-specific F heads, a camshaft, a distributor, a carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and has the optional V01 heavy-duty radiator. Power from the engine is fed through the original matching-numbers Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission turning a W-30 specific G92 TM-stamped 3:42 rear end. The all-correct Julian date-coded drivetrain is matched with all body panels, which also have correct Julian date codes, including the 1970-only flat-ridge front fenders. Equipped from the factory with the W-30 W-machine package, including but not limited to the TM 3.42 rear axle, G88 axle, G80 anti-spin, V01 heavy-duty radiator 3-core fan with no shroud, factory original F casting heads (Julian date code 211), factory-original W and Z high-flow exhaust manifolds, U21 Rally Pack, and PK5 G70x14 tires. The factory-original W-30-only distributor is not installed but is included with the sale. The sale also includes the original title, original broadcast card and while the W-30 package is undocumented it does include the Rocket Report.
