This classic 1957 Bel Air 2-door hardtop was a off-frame-restored build in 2016 by the previous owner. Sprayed in its original Onyx Black paint (code 793) and restored in red vinyl with red and black interior (originally red vinyl with silver pattern vinyl - code 683), this beauty features Chevrolet's new-for-1957 EK-code 283/283hp Super Ram Jet fuel-injected V8 engine, which was rebuilt during restoration. The engine is backed by a factory column-shifted close-ratio 3-speed manual transmission. The car features factory power steering, heater, AM/FM radio, full wheel covers with spinners, wide whitewall tires and a dual exhaust. The FI unit and distributor were completely rebuilt by Jerry Bramlett in November 2017. Chevy's RPO 578/283 horsepower FI engine featured 10.5:1 compression, a special high-lift camshaft, high-speed valve train and mechanical lifters. This car features correct numbers for block (#3731548), cylinder heads (#3731539) and aluminum intake manifold (#3741193). The car is an outstanding top and bottom restoration of a Kansas City built classic '57 Bel Air, which as been mechanically sorted to run and drive properly. No original documentation accompanies the car.
