This true GT and true K-code factory high-performance 1965 Mustang convertible was the recipient of a full, correct restoration. Restored in its original Wimbledon White with deluxe Red Pony interior, this matching-numbers Mustang is powered by its original 289/271hp V8 K-code engine with a dealer-installed Cobra Kit that consists of Tri-Power carburetors, aluminum intake, aluminum valve covers and aluminum breather. The engine is paired with a 4-speed Toploader manual transmission. The Cobra Kit is said to add 43hp for a total of 314hp. This K-code is highly optioned and equipped with GT package, disc brakes, dual-point distributor, sway bar, Rally-Pac gauges, stainless exhaust, stainless brake lines and an AM radio with reverberator. Many NOS parts were used during this restoration, and more than 2,000 hours were invested and performed under guidelines from Mustang Club of America judging standards.
