Long Description: This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop sport coupe was comprehensively redone over a 2.5-year period with a body-off rotisserie restoration. It is powered by an LS crate engine that's backed by a 4L60E automatic transmission. The mill sports a BBK aluminum intake manifold, Jet-Hot coated long-tube headers, street performance custom 3-pin MAF, and new core support and crossflow radiator with dual electric fans. Features a new American Autowire classic update wiring harness. Underneath, the Art Morrison GT55 sports chassis has been powder-coated in black. This frame was built with a 3-inch in-frame exhaust passageway and incorporates a 4-link triangulated rear suspension that further features a Strange third member, adjustable coilover shocks, 9-inch rear housing and Strange 31-spline hardened rear axles. The power rack & pinion steering has a 20:1 ratio. The spindles, front and rear sway bars and the tubular upper and lower control arms have all been chrome plated. The car's brake system is controlled by a Wilwood 1-inch master cylinder and 4-wheel vented 12.7-inch Wilwood Forged Dynalite Pro discs, forged billet Dynalite 4-piston calipers, 2-piece hat and rotor assemblies, stainless lines, hoses and high-performance friction pads. During the restoration, the exterior was finished in a dark Candy Apple Red over a two-tone light-and-dark tan interior with a contrasting suede headliner. The entire interior was coated with Second Skin Spectrum ceramic coating and 3M noise reduction padding before being finished. Accenting these materials is a Bel Era Black Series custom gauge panel with red pointers by Classic Instruments, a Flaming River polished steering column and a Lokar updated gas pedal. Entertainment is delivered from a Custom Autosound 200-watt tuner. This car rides on Boyd Coddington Custom Classic Magneto wheels that are wrapped in Pirelli P245/45ZR17 tires in front and P275/40ZR18 rear.
