Long Description: Fully custom 1959 Chevrolet Apache pickup sits on a Fat Man Fabrications chassis complete with independent front suspension, coilovers at all four corners, and 13-inch six-piston Wilwood front disc brakes with 10-inch units in the rear. The rear end sports 3.73 gears and a 32-spline axle. The truck rolls on 20-inch Billet Specialties wheels in the rear with 18-inches upfront, all clad in BFGoodrich tires. The body modifications from front to back include frenched headlights and taillights, shaved outside mirrors, smoothed bumpers and the stake holes as well as tailgate were closed up to give it a seamless appearance. Aftermarket motorcycle taillights were frenched into the custom roll pan with side-exit exhaust plumbed into the rear fenders. The doors were shaved and given remote bear-claw latches, drip rails removed, and the original sun visor was cut down about 4-inches and molded into the roofline. Hickory bed wood from LMC Truck was stained to complement the DuPont Torch Red and custom black paint. The firewall was recessed to accommodate the potent Ram Jet fuel-injected 502ci V8 engine. The V8 features a Vintage Air serpentine system with a custom air-induction system and channels power through to the 700R4 transmission automatic transmission. Spent gasses are pumped through Sanderson Headers and a custom stainless exhaust system. The interior is wood-grained airbrushing and the dash was refabricated to move the Classic Instruments cluster to the center directly above the custom console with a Pioneer head unit/DVD player and Vintage Air controls. Also inside is a Billet Specialties steering wheel and tilt column with a custom mold for the fiberglass headliner and Wise Guys seats stitched in black leather with ostrich inserts. It was chosen as Builders Choice Award at Goodguys 11th Midwestern Nationals and was one of the finalists for 2011 Truck of the Year at Goodguys Southwest Nationals event.
