Successful racing driver, and Chevrolet dealer, Don Yenko realized there was a demand for a big-power Camaro as the 1960s "muscle car wars" heated up.

To get around GM's decision of not fitting an engine larger than 400ci, Don took the SS Camaro and swapped in a L72 427 V8 from the Corvette, and the Yenko Super Camaro was born.

This first year car bears the Yenko serial number YS-725 and according to Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish was finished on July 18, 1967.

This Camaro sold for $632,500.00 at the 2022 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction on January 29.
