This 2005 Chevrolet SSR is well-known for being the official pace car for the 2003 Indianapolis 500. It is finished in Smokin' Asphalt Black over Ebony leather. Powered by a Pro-Built Whipple-supercharged 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with a limited-slip differential. Staggered-diameter 19-inch and 20-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels are mounted with new radial 255/45 front tires and 295/40 rear tires. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. This pickup is fitted with a power-operated retractable hardtop and a removable hard-shell cargo cover. Under the color-matched tonneau cover, the bed of this SSR has black carpet with wood floor strips and locking storage containers.
