In the 1960s, Carroll Shelby made automotive history with the creation of the Cobra - and the high-performance Super Snake was the "Cobra to end all Cobras." In fact, only two original Super Snakes were ever produced in the period. One was Carroll Shelby's personal vehicle, CSX 3015; the other - CSX 3303 - was tragically destroyed. Since then, Shelby produced what is known as continuation Cobras. This Super Snake, CSX 4404, is one of only three continuation Super Snakes known to exist and to be authorized by Shelby. As fate would have it, CSX 4404 was completed and delivered by Shelby right at the time of Carroll's passing in May 2012. Just like Carroll's car, this aluminum-bodied Super Snake is powered by a 427ci V8 engine. CSX 4404 is beautifully finished in Guardsman Blue with black side pipes and a chrome roll bar.

This Shelby Cobra sold for $935,000 at the 2022 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction on January 29.
