DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATED

This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 was restored and built for show and go. It is powered by a 454ci Chevrolet big-block engine upgraded with an aluminum intake manifold, performance cam, Holley performance 4-barrel carburetor and factory-style exhaust headers. Riding on F41 suspension with front disc brakes and performance tires. The SS has been upgraded with OEM options and features a cowl induction hood and power steering. The engine is mated to a Chevrolet Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission that transfers power back to the heavy-duty 12-bolt rear axle with posi-traction. The suspension was built with the original Chevrolet Performance F41 HD suspension in mind. This Chevelle features HD springs in the front and rear, HD control arms, and front and rear sway bars, as well as power steering and front power disc brakes. The body was treated to a complete restoration and finished in the original hue of Chevrolet Tuxedo Black base with a clear coat. White SS stripes were applied to the original functional cowl-induction hood and the trunk lid as in 1971. Brightwork and trim items were either replaced or restored to like-new condition. The interior has been restored and the optional sport front bucket seats and rear seat have been reupholstered. It features new carpeting, door panels, a dash pad and the Super Sport Gauge Package with a tachometer.
