Long Description: Often referred to as "The Greatest Muscle Car That Never Was," the 1977 Pontiac Can Am was one of the last attempts by Pontiac to catch lightning in a bottle for the performance car market. The Can-Am package came on LeMans cars painted Cameo White, which was then accessorized in orange, red and yellow graphics, as well as blacked-out lower panels and window trim. Can-Ams came powered by a W72 high-performance 400ci 6.6-liter V8 engine with an automatic transmission. When the Can-Am was first introduced to the dealers, Pontiac envisioned producing 2,500 units; the response from the buying public was much more than expected and over 5,000 orders were submitted. Unfortunately, the mold used to produce the fiberglass rear spoiler broke, and production at Motortown ended. Pontiac's upper management decided to scrap the project after only approximately half a year of production. This Can-Am also is an uncommon spec as it does not have the center console shifter that others had, and also has Hurst hatch T-Tops installed from American sunroof corp. **TITLED AS 1977 PONTIAC UNKNOWN** Date: 01/25/2023 11:00 AM Video 1: Video 2: Video 3: Terms and conditions CONTRACTS There is no rescission, revocation, or canceling of bids.
