This 1968 Pontiac Firebird 350 was purchased in Binghamton, NY, in August 1968 for $3,690. It is finished in Solar Red with a Parchment White interior color, and its upgrades are consistent with the original Window Sticker. This car is powered by a matching-numbers 350/320hp High-Output engine mated to a 2-speed automatic Powerglide transmission. Only 2,638 Firebirds were produced in 1968 with the 350 HO engine. In addition to having the transmission and engine serviced, the present owner has updated the electric ignition system, replaced the interior carpet, replaced all four tires and has restored the engine compartment to its original appearance with attention to detail. This includes installing a stripped and powder-coated correct air handler, a Rochester 4M Quadrajet carburetor (code 7028266), an idle-stop solenoid and the appropriate kick-down switch and heat shield. A new battery was installed in October 2022. This car is a rarely driven, garaged, Arizona no-rust car. Documentation includes the original sales invoice in a frame and the car's Pontiac Historical Society document. It also comes with a 1968 Pontiac Firebird Warranty Book.
