This Backdraft Racing RT3 roadster re-creation is in concours condition and is California SB100 smog exempt. A full cosmetic restoration was recently completed, including a $19,000 paint job and re-polish of all trim. It is powered by a dyno-tuned 427ci engine with a Dart block, full ceramic-coated exhaust, AFR heads, MSD ignition, Edelbrock intake and water pump, COMP camshafts, a Holley carburetor, Carter fuel pump, an Aviaid Cobra oil pan, a stainless-steel fuel filler pipe, Ford Racing 427 Cobra valve covers and a custom air cleaner. The engine is mated to a TREMEC T5 5-speed transmission with BMW E36 independent suspension and a BMW Z3 power steering conversion. Stopping is provided by power disc brakes with Wilwood 13-inch rotors, 6-piston calipers in the front and 12-inch 4-piston calipers in the rear. It features Bilstein shocks, a polished billet 2-inch belt drive pulley system and a Crow 4-point Kam Lock safety harness. The new leather seats feature perforated centers and double-diamond cross-stitching. This vehicle rides on 18-inch Halibrand-style knock-off wheels with polished lips.
