Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDThis custom 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST has undergone a complete nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration. This 4x4 is powered by the 383ci V8 engine from GM performance with performance heads and modern fuel injection. It has been dressed out with the aluminum valve covers and the K&N air cleaner with a new element. The engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission with an NP205 transfer case and 12-bolt rear end. This SUV is equipped with power steering and power brakes, with discs on the front and out back. The engine bay of this K5 is clean, with the firewall detailed in a base coat/clear coat like the rest of the exterior. The exhaust has SS header manifolds with new dual pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. The frame shows no signs of abuse, the body bushings are in good condition and new dual shocks have been installed up front and out back. It is finished in bright red paint and has been redone in the base coat/clear coat paint with countless hours spent buffing and polishing it to a mirror finish. This is accented by the white top that was redone at the time of the restoration. All-new weatherstripping has been installed, and all the glass is in new condition as well. Up front, the grille and all the stainless steel is like new, along with the front bumper. Out back, the tailgate trim looks to have been installed new, along with the bumper. All the side moldings, emblems and marker lights appear to have been replaced at the time of the restoration. To finish off this Blazer, it sits on a new set of 15-inch aluminum wheels with 33x12.5 MT tires. The interior is finished in the factory-optioned black and red color scheme that complements the exterior. Everything on the inside is either new or like new. An all-new carpet was installed, along with the deluxe door panels, TMI stock-looking recliner bucket seats, factory center console and matching bench seat. All the gauges work as they should. The factory-style knobbed radio is still present, along with the air controls in their factory location. This truck has been upgraded to a Vintage Air system with cold air conditioning and modern heat. Inside the glove box it retains the factory sticker options.
