Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDThis 1980 Camaro Z/28 is #13 of 90 limited Hugger Editions produced to commemorate the #28 Hugger Camaro race car that competed in the 18th Annual 24 Hours of Daytona. The Hugger Camaros, including the #,28 race car were built by Bill Mitchell's Specialty Vehicle Developments (SVD) team in Cheshire, CT. The Hugger name comes from the performance suspension the SVD team added to the vehicles, which included special KONI shocks, performance springs, and front and rear anti-sway bars to stabilize the ride. Power comes from a 350ci V8 engine mated to a rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. While most Huggers were painted Red Orange, according to the Hugger Registry, only six were painted black. The interior is all-original in unrestored condition and has the original AM/FM cassette radio. This car is also equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, electric rear-window defogger, cruise control, limited-slip differential and dual horns. Additional features included Minilite wheels, a front-air dam with auxiliary lighting, Racemark padded steering wheel, hood pins, windshield clips, rear window strips and distinctive exterior striping. It is still retaining most of its Hugger modifications, including the 14-inch Minilite magnesium wheels wrapped with a new set of BFGoodrich tires. This Hugger has 36,757 actual miles and is documented with two copies of GM Build Sheets and a copy of a GM of Canada Build Sheet.
