Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDSold new in January 1970 by Queen City Chevrolet, Cincinnati, OH, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS is one of only 311 built with the aluminum-headed 396/375hp big-block L89 engine. The aluminum heads shaved 70 pounds off the front of the Camaro. This Camaro received a professional restoration by re-creating the factory assembly markings. It's powered by a correct factory L89 engine block with correct factory aluminum heads mated to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 4.10 gears is original to the car. The exterior was expertly refinished in its original factory LeMans Blue paint with white side stripes over a black bucket-seat interior with a center console and gauge cluster. Other features include a ducted hood, front and rear spoilers, color-matched front bumper, power front disc brakes and power steering. This vehicle comes with the original warranty booklet and Protect-O-Plate showing the correct "JJ" engine suffix code for an L89 engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. Also included is a copy of the title when purchased by the second owner in May 1973. This car was originally campaigned as a race car in local events and then stored for a long period of time. 9,036 miles (title reads exempt).
