This original 1964 Chevrolet Corvette "Big Tank" coupe is one of 38 cars built in 1964 with a 36.5-gallon gas tank, per GM records. Powered by a 327/365hp engine mated to an M20 4-speed manual transmission with posi-traction. The Saddle Tan exterior features sintered metallic brakes, an off-road exhaust, tinted glass, backup lamps and five factory-original Kelsey-Hayes aluminum knock-off wheels. The saddle leather interior features a transistor ignition, power windows, AM/FM radio and factory air conditioning. This unrestored original had one repaint and has been preserved in a climate-controlled museum for 38 years. It was featured with a 21-page spread in the 1984 book "Corvette: The Sensuous American," Volume 1, pages 4-25.
