Long Description:
This 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup named "McDreamy" received a professional frame-off restoration and has been transformed into a Resto-Mod using the highest-quality modern components by premier builder New England Muscle Cars in Lakeville, MA. It is powered by a 580hp supercharged 6.2-liter LSA engine with a fully forged bottom end, including a GM LSA forged replacement crank, Texas Speed forged I-beam rods and forged Carrillo pistons. The engine is paired with a 6L90 6-speed automatic transmission with a custom driveshaft connecting to a Currie 9-inch rear end with 3.50 gears. The engine is fitted with a black Wegner front-runner system with a 2.55 supercharger pulley and Mishimoto heat exchanger for supercharger cooling. It's also operated with drive-by-wire throttle control. Spent gases exit through a set of Hooker manifolds connected to a custom TIG-welded stainless-steel X-pipe exhaust system with Borla mufflers. Stopping is handled by a power-assisted Wilwood master cylinder feeding 14-inch Baer disc brakes. Underneath the expertly finished Ferrari Grigio Ferro exterior sits a Roadster Shop Slam Spec coilover chassis powder-coated in Prismatic Satin Carbon Charcoal and equipped with the latest in Pro-Touring suspension with adjustable Fox coilovers, 4-link rear setup, sway bars and power rack & pinion steering. Customizations include a vented hood, Pro-Touring front bumper, MAR-K trim, custom Modshop rear roll pan, leopard wood showcased in a Porterbuilt raised bed floor, Fesler front and rear flush-mount glass, Hart Fab rear mini-tubs, custom engine bay panels, HID headlamps, Trique door latches, Alumicraft taillights and Mike's billet mirrors. The TMI interior features bucket seats, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital gauges, Billet Specialties steering wheel and interior handles, Ididit tilt steering column, push-button start and a custom stereo system with Alpine 5-channel amplifier, Pioneer 6.8-inch double-DIN unit with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, KICKER speakers and a Slosh Tubz speaker enclosure housing two square 10-inch KICKER subwoofers. Other additions include an American Autowire harness, Rick's fuel tank, Entropy radiator, Porterbuilt hood hinges and Kilmat sound-deadener throughout the entire cab. This custom C10 rides on 20-inch Schott wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. This fresh build was completed in December 2023 and has test miles only.
