This custom 1962 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport was professionally restored and custom-built by Artistic Customs in Jasper, OR. The body was frame-off rotisserie restored and expertly sprayed in two-stage white paint before being set on an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis equipped with their Pro-Touring coilover suspension, triangulated 4-link rear end and power rack & pinion steering. The 6.2-liter GM Performance LT5 supercharged crate engine produces 750hp and is mated to a TREMEC T-56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission connected to a Ford 9-inch rear end. Spent gases exit through a custom 3-inch stainless exhaust system equipped with electric cutouts. Stopping is handled by electric-powered Wilwood 6-piston red powder-coated calipers clamping on 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The chassis has been powder-coated and the entire underside is painted to match the exterior. Under the hood is a custom and clean engine compartment with smoothed inner fenders and firewall. The mostly original interior still retains its original rare 50th Anniversary yellow and gold upholstery, headliner, glass and moldings with an upgraded Vintage Air system, Dakota Digital gauges and new carpet set. The trunk is also custom-finished to match the interior. This custom Impala SS rides on 20-inch Schott billet wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, with wheel tubs to accommodate the 335 rear tires. The build has over 1600 labor hours invested and the sale includes the original 1962 manuals and books.
