Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDThis 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III is the final year of the model and is powered by a 460ci V8 engine mated to a SelectShift automatic transmission. This example is fully loaded with power windows, power seats, AM/FM radio with a rear-mounted power antenna, air conditioning, Cartier clock, power brakes, power steering, genuine walnut trim and leather seats. In the 1950s, Ford Motor Company created the separate Continental division, positioned higher than Lincoln, and produced the Continental Mark II. The Mark II was a tribute to the Mark I from the late 1930s, which was commissioned by Edsel Ford, Henry Ford's son. Then Ford President Lee Iacocca wanted to "resurrect" the Continental mystique when he launched the Continental Mark III model in 1968 as a 1969 model. The 1971 model was the winner of Motor Trend magazine's King of the Hill contest, beating out the Cadillac Eldorado. This example has been owned and maintained by two collectors, including the current owner, a Montana-based LLC, for 14 years. Both owners were members of the Lincoln and Continental Owners Club (LCOC). This Continental Mark III has won numerous awards, which are included in the sale. **TITLED AS 1971 LINCOLN CONTINE MARK II** Date: 10/10/2024 3:00 PM Video 1: Video 2: Video 3: Terms and conditions CONTRACTS There is no rescission, revocation, or canceling of bids.
