Long Description: This 1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo Trans Am is one of two built by Pontiac to serve as official pace car for the 1989 Indianapolis 500. It is based on the 20th Anniversary Trans Am special edition and is powered by a 3.8-liter turbocharged V6 engine creating 250hp and 340 ft/lbs of torque under 16.5 pounds of boost. It delivers 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and has a 153-mph top speed. The only modifications necessary were safety equipment, such as the strobe light system, which is still intact.
