Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDFinished in Centennial Silver, this factory-documented supercharged 1999 Shelby Series 1 convertible is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine backed by a manual transmission with 950 actual miles. Built on an aluminum chassis and cloaked in a 130-pound carbon fiber body and carbon fiber hood. It is equipped with a Corvette gearbox, independent suspension, and massive brakes. With 320 horsepower on tap, the Series 1 achieved 60 mph in 4.4-seconds, but as usual, Shelby did not stop there. Very few cars, including this early example, were returned by their owners to Shelby for a $22,000 supercharger upgrade that cranked the power to 500 horsepower, making them a genuine 3-second 0-60 car. The Supercharger upgrade was performed by Shelby American in Las Vegas and included engine modifications to handle the extra compression and horsepower. Additionally, it features a Serial number of 0009 making it one of the first 10 cars built at the Shelby facility in Las Vegas. Includes copies of the original title and full factory documentation.
