Long Description: This custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is the recipient of a true frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration. Underneath the long cowl-induction hood is a 454ci-big Block Chevrolet engine backed by a metric 200R4 overdrive transmission built by Art Carr and a 12-bolt 3.73 ratio with Eaton posi-traction rear axle. This two-door coupe is painted in Fathom green with black Rally strips and sports SS badging with a new black vinyl top. The engine bay has some modern upgrades with a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine system, power brake booster, aluminum radiator with dual SPAL fans, Optima battery and close-ratio steering box. This built 454 is topped with an Edelbrock carburetor, Weiand intake, Crane PowerMax cam, gold roller rockers and MSD ignition. This vehicle is also packing a 10.5:1 compression ratio, which is pump gas friendly. The engine is dressed in stock-style valve covers and saddled by a set of Stainless Works big-tube headers and a complete 3-inch mandrel-bent exhaust with X-pipe. The chassis was completely removed from the car and sand-blasted, zinc-primed and powder-coated in Shuttle Gloss Black. The belly pan of the car is coated in gloss black and Energy Suspension urethane bushings were used to mount the body to chassis. The suspension has been fully updated with all new Hotchkis components, including tubular A-arms, tie rods and links, 4-link bars and heavy-duty front and rear sway bars, and big-block coil springs, and it rides on a full set of Bilstein shocks. The car has been upgraded with 4-wheel power disc brakes. The car has its original bumpers that have been re-chromed by Ogden Chrome, and it is equipped with an all-new wiring harness from American Autowire, as well as all-new seals and gaskets. The vehicle has its factory SS interior with bucket seats and headrests, a horseshoe shifter with center console, SS steering wheel fixed to a new tilt steering column from Flaming River and an upgraded SS-style classic gauge set. It also has a custom Autosound stereo. The Chevelle rides on a set of custom-ordered Dayton Series billet wheels from U.S. Mags staggered with 18s up front and 20s at the rear, all wrapped with Nitto tires. The car has about 1,100 miles since it's completion and comes with receipts.
