Long Description: This 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra roadster, CSX 7000, is No. 11 of 50 50th Anniversary examples produced by Shelby American to celebrate the introduction of the original FIA-sanctioned Cobra 289 in 1964. It is powered by a 289ci Ford V8 engine linked to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Each of the 50 50th Anniversary cars features a fiberglass body and flared fenders and is finished in Viking Blue with Arctic White roundels and an FIA-style yellow stripe. The car has a single roll hoop, a hood scoop, front oil cooler air scoops, 50th Anniversary badging, a windshield frame-mounted side mirror, wind wings, quick jack bumperettes and side-exit exhaust pipes. It is equipped with independent suspension, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. This Shelby rides on Halibrand-style 15-inch pin-drive wheels, secured with three-eared knockoffs and mounted with 26.5x15-inch Goodyear Eagle tires. The cockpit features low-back bucket seats upholstered in black, latch-and-link lap belts and a cabin heater. The wood-rimmed steering wheel features a machined FIA Cobra/50th Anniversary center and fronts a Carroll Shelby-script tachometer and 160-mph speedometer, along with billet-trimmed Stewart-Warner gauges for fuel level, water temperature, voltage, and oil pressure and temperature.
