Powered by a GM LS3 Hot Cam crate engine and 4L70E transmission with a Ford 9-inch rear end. Has Morrison chassis, Wilwood brakes, Vintage Air and custom leather, as well as power steering, brakes and windows. Long Description: This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible build was completed in 2017 by Jeff Hayes at American Speed Shop, and was acquired directly from Jeff Hayes. This build utilized a 1962 Corvette body with an adapted 1958 Corvette front grille, atop a special Art Morrison sport chassis. The drivetrain consists of a GM 540hp LS3 Hot Cam crate engine with custom intake, backed by a GM 4L70E 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and a Ford 9-inch rear end with Strange axles and 3.70 gears. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear, which are mounted on low-profile red line tires. This Corvette features a custom mix of platinum flake and Pearl Gray paint. It is also equipped with a removable body-color hardtop, power-operated hood and cowl vent, power steering, power windows, Eiko high-definition headlights and a Vintage Air system, along with custom seats with distressed red leather upholstery, Dakota Digital gauges, Jensen touchscreen interface and LED interior lighting. This car has been mechanically sorted by the crew at DriverSource in Houston, TX, and the engine and transmission were tuned by MS Tuning in Texas.
