This 1968 Shelby GT500CR re-creation features a full carbon-fiber body and was designed from the ground up by Classic Recreations. Power is supplied by a Ford Racing Coyote 5.0-liter Gen 2 Aluminator with a VMP supercharger rated at 770hp, backed by a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a 9-inch Fab rear end with 3.50 gears and posi-traction. The car rides on an inboard coilover front suspension with Rod & Custom power rack & pinion steering, and also boasts a Total Control rear coilover system with 4-link suspension. The rear of the body has benefitted from a mini-tub upgrade to accommodate 315-width rear tires. Braking is provided by 4-piston Wilwood slotted and cross-drilled power disc brakes on all four corners, housed inside chrome 18-inch Shelby 427 wheels. Finished in exposed carbon fiber with translucent black racing stripes, this Mustang was meticulously assembled so the fiber weave is matched perfectly on each body panel across the entire car. The interior has been finished in black leather, and features Carroll Shelby Scat Rally 1000 seats with G-Force Racing 5-point camlock seat belts, Carroll Shelby Signature gauges, console and floormats, air conditioning, a Flaming River tilt steering column and Carroll Shelby's signature on the dash.
